Luxury Motorhome Hire

Luxury motorhome hire Luxury Motorhome Hire Near Me

While many campers are happy to forego home comforts when taking a motorhome holiday, others demand luxury. This is often termed glamping (a portmanteu of glamorous clamping), and is ideal for those people who enjoy the finer things in life but are also up for an adventure. Click here to Search >>

If you are researching luxury motorhome hire, the best place to start is with Class A motorhomes. These are always packed with the latest features and the biggest can comfortably accommodate an entire team of travellers and still feel spacious. However, these monsters can be tricky to get hold of in the United Kingdom.

What is the most expensive Class A motorhome?

EleMMent PalazzoIf you want an idea of the full potential available with a Class A motorhome, look no further than the space-age EleMMent Palazzo from truck specialists Marchi Mobile. Sometimes referred to as a ‘land yacht’ this imaginatively designed motorhome is the epitome of camping luxury.

Built on a high quality Volvo chassis and housing a Volvo engine, the opulent Palazzo boasts a two-storey layout; marble interior; king-size beds; master suite with rainfall shower head; fully equipped kitchen; cocktail bar; fireplace; external storage compartments and a cockpit-style driving area with huge circular windows and three propellor-like wiper blades. To cap it off, there is even an integrated rooftop ‘sky lounge’ equipped with heated flooring and canopy.

How much does this level of luxury cost? Sadly, this is one motorhome you won’t be able to hire and with a price tag of nearly £3 million, it comes up as one of the most expensive motorhomes on the planet – if not the most expensive.

Of course, there are plenty of luxury Class A motorhomes available to hire and some can even be driven on a standard licence.

How much does it cost to rent a large RV?

Interior of a Luxury Motorhome Hire

It should come as no surprise that Class A motorhome hire is generally more expensive than other types of camping vehicle. Nevertheless, there is a lot of variety in the market and it is possible to enjoy luxury travel at an excellent price.

When looking for motorhomes to hire, your travel dates will have a big impact on rates. In the low season (generally from November to March) you might find a large motor home for hire for as little as £500 per week. If you are travelling in peak season (generally June to September), that same vehicle could be listed for £1600 per week or more. Prices can also go up during holidays (e.g. Easter, Christmas, etc.) or when there are special events in the area.

Availability can also be an issue with luxury Class A motorhomes so it is worth not ruling out smaller vehicles simply based on their size. Class C motorhomes can offer just as much luxury as their bigger cousins and even the humble Class B campervan can now be surprisingly compact with plenty of hidden storage space and modern features.

One factor that can throw the inexperienced motorhome renter is additional mileage costs. If you come across a particularly low base hire rate that seems too good to be true, check the mileage allowance. You will often find that your mileage is capped at a low level and that you have to pay an additional charge for every mile over that limit. It is usually more economical to opt for a deal with unlimited mileage but if you intend to spend a lot of time at a campsite, it may be worth getting the calculator out. You will also have to factor in fuel costs for your journey and you will normally be expected to return the motorhome with a full tank!

We suggest you start your quest for the perfect holiday right here on our website by clicking search in the main menu and entering your home location in the search bar. Some regions (e.g. London) will immediately bring up plenty of vehicles to choose from. If you live in a more remote town or region, you might have to look a bit further afield before you find the motorhome you want. If you prefer, you can opt to pick up your motorhome at your destination, in which case you would enter that into the search box. Some motorhome owners offer airport delivery if you plan to fly to your holiday location.

Using our trusted global peer-to-peer platform increases the number and variety of vehicles available to you. As you will discover when browsing motorhomes, hire price and vehicle specifications can vary a lot. All vehicles are priced per day but you will find weekly and monthly rates in the individual listings pages.

How many does a motorhome sleep?

Luxury motorhome hireOne of the biggest factors when it comes to holiday comfort is space so it makes sense to start with the ideal berth of your motorhome. Every motorhome listed on our website clearly indicates the number of people it sleeps. However, if you are determined to enjoy a luxury road trip, it is a good idea to hire a vehicle that could accommodate extra people. This will give you more living and storage room. It can also mean the difference between everyone having a double bed and someone having to squeeze into a bunk only big enough for a child.

There is so much variety in the size and shape of motorhomes that you can find vehicles that will only accommodate a couple alongside others with space for a football team. If you are using our website to source a large motorhome, you can enter ‘8’ into the ‘Sleeps’ filter (filter buttons are just below the menu). This will ensure only motorhomes with 8 or more beds are included in your results.

You can then start using the other filter buttons to save time as you gradually tailor your motorhome to your unique needs. Once you’ve narrowed down your choice, you can begin delving into the finer details of each motorhome on your shortlist to create the ultimate luxury experience. With a clear idea of what you need for a perfect getaway, you will be out on the open road before you know it.

How to ensure a luxury hire

Luxury motorhome hire relaxingMotorhome holidays are about much more than spending the most money on the biggest rig. You are likely to be on the road for long periods of time so being comfortable with what you are driving is important. The driving position in a Class A motorhome will be very different to what you would experience driving a car or even a truck. Some drivers will love this but others will find it unsettling and this could spoil the holiday. Class A motorhomes are best suited to large, wide roads, hence their popularity in the USA and Europe. The typical narrow and winding British country road presents a big challenge to the driver of a Class A motorhome and you may want to downsize to a Class C or Class B if this is the type of road you will be facing.

Excellent service is another important part of the perfect holiday. This is where it pays to read the customer reviews as you will soon get an idea of which motorhome owners go above and beyond to look after their customers. Every listing on our website will include an aggregate star rating (from one to five stars) together with a number indicating how many reviews the owner or company has. At the bottom of each listing, you can read the reviews for yourself for a more detailed picture of the service you can expect.

If you are looking for luxury then you will want your motorhome to include as many amenities as possible. The format of each vehicle’s listings page will help with this because it includes all possible amenities and greys out those which are not included. That makes it easy to compare motorhomes at a glance.

For example, if you are travelling as a family and need the use of a well equipped kitchen, you will want to see not just a stove and a kitchen sink but a fridge, oven and microwave too. For maximum catering flexibility, you will almost certainly want to opt for a vehicle with both electric power hookup and portable gas.

Some people prefer to unplug technology and ignore their email and Facebook feed for the duration of their adventure. However, if your idea of luxury includes keeping up with your favourite TV programmes and updating your social media profile, make sure the WiFi, satellite and TV/DVD checklist items are included.

Other items to look out for on the list of amenities include air conditioning, heater, dining table, shower (inside, outside or both), toilet, ceiling fan, generator, tow hitch, bike rack, solar charging, levelling jack, backup camera, washer/dryer, CD player, radio, audio inputs, inverter, disabled facilities and water tanks.

A little bit further down the listing page, you will come across a list of ‘add-ons.’ These range from freebies provided by the owner as good customer service to chargeable extras. These will usually be optional but you may find some are required and need to be budgeted for. It is possible for owners to add anything they like on this list so make sure you read through it carefully so you don’t miss out on any special offers. After all, paying for extras such as cooking utensils and bedding will reduce what you need to pack.

Examples of what you might find in this section are additional driver insurance, collision damage waiver, bike racks, bedding sets, an airport pick-up service or an early collection/late return service to help you make the most of your time on the road.

If you intend to bring your beloved pet with you, be sure to check the ‘rules’ section. If pets are allowed, you might need to pay an additional charge to cover the extra cleaning. This section also covers smoking and festivals so if you’re planning to enjoy Glastonbury minus the mud, make sure this is permitted in the rules.

Finalising your booking

Providing the dates you need are showing as available, you can finalise your booking by clicking the green Request Booking button. Some owners have enabled an Instant Book button for even faster service. If you prefer to speak to a human being before making a decision, there is a telephone number beneath the booking button.

Luxury camping offers a chance to have your cake and eat it. You get to retain all the comfort and convenience of home while waking up to a different vista each morning.

Whether you’re planning on touring the United Kingdom in style, heading across the channel to explore Europe or taking the plunge and camping on another continent, you can do it in comfort and style with campervanhire.com motorhome hire.

Motorhome Hire Prices: A Simple Guide to Costs and Bookings

Motorhome HireAre you planning to experience a part of the UK you’ve never seen before? Maybe you are looking forward to a romantic getaway in France or Italy, a cultural trip to Germany or a family beach holiday in Spain. Perhaps you have your heart set on somewhere a little bit further away.

Whatever your idea of a holiday, motorhomes offer the freedom and flexibility you need to do more and see more. If you’ve set your heart on a campervan holiday, sooner or later you are going to want to dig down into prices. This can be a tricky area because there is a lot of variation. This article will look at the different factors you will need to bear in mind when hiring campervans. It will also give you some researched figures you can use as a rough guide.

How much does it cost to rent a motorhome?

Motorhome Hire PricesThis is a common question but it doesn’t have a simple answer due to the large number of factors that have an impact on hire prices.

To begin with, motorhomes come in different shapes and sizes from brand new, coach-built ‘Class A’ motorhomes with showers, bathrooms, satellite TV, double beds and spacious dining quarters, to basic campervans with a couple of fold-up beds, a stove for cooking and a sink. Drivers happy to use their own vehicle could even opt for a simple tent trailer which might cost them under £30 per day.

RV RentalsAnother big factor affecting motorhome hire prices is the season you are travelling in. The difference between hiring in low season (November to March) and peak season (June to September) can be £1,000 per week or more. Special dates (e.g. Easter, Christmas, New Year, etc.) can also bump prices up as can festivals and other special events.

Mileage allowance is also a crucial part of your booking because additional mileage costs can quickly start to pile up if you are spending a lot of time driving. If you find that the cost of your hire is surprisingly low, check whether you are restricted to a certain number of miles and calculate how much extra you are likely to pay through the additional mileage charge.

How much is it to rent a camper for a week?

Camper Van Hire PricesMost people looking to hire a camper will be travelling for at least a week so we have researched some prices for 7 day hire in the United Kingdom.

As already mentioned, the season you decide to travel in has a big effect on overall price so we have broken down the weekly rental costs into four seasonal periods and three campervan sizes (based on berth). We have also only looked at deals with unlimited mileage.

  • In low season (generally November to March), a small or medium vehicle is likely to cost between £360 and £450 per week. While you may be able to find a large five or six berth motorhome for the same rate, expect to pay up to £575 per week.
  • March is often regarded as mid season so you can expect prices to be a little higher but still low compared to late spring, summer and autumn. Weekly rates of between £390 and £475 are not uncommon for small and medium motorhomes while larger vehicles could cost up to £600 for a 7 day hire.
  • High season for camping van hire is usually in April and May and again in September and October. Here is when the cost to hire a campervan can jump up considerably. You will be lucky to get a small or medium vehicle for less than £500 per week while large motorhomes can range from £575 right up to £900 during this period.
  • If you are interested in hiring a campervan in peak season (generally June to September), you will have to be prepared to pay from £675 to £1100 for a small vehicle while a large motorhome could be anything from £750 to £1500 per 7 day hire.

What is the average price of a motorhome?

The above figures illustrate the wide range of prices you can expect to find renters charging depending on the time of the year and the size of the vehicle. It can be overwhelming to look at so we have also calculated an approximate average weekly hire rate per season and berth:

  • Low season: two berth (£425 per week); three/four berth (£450 per week); five/six berth (£575 per week)
  • Mid season: two berth (£475 per week); three/four berth (£475 per week); five/six berth (£550 per week)
  • High season: two berth (£575 per week); three/four berth (£565 per week); five/six berth (£675 per week)
  • Peak season: two berth (£725 per week); three/four berth (£750 per week); five/six berth (£850 per week)

How much is it to rent a motorhome for a month?

Motorhome RentalIf you are intending to go on holiday for a month or more, you are in a good position to secure a great motorhome hire deal. From the hirers perspective, a long-term hire means lower risk, reduced marketing costs and less time spent cleaning and preparing their motorhomes for weekly customers. Don’t be put off by a steep looking monthly rate; if you really want a particular motorhome, contact the owners to see if they are willing to negotiate. It is not unknown for long-term hirers to secure a discount of over £1000 off a standard four week hire charge.

Extra costs to factor in to your trip

Of course, hire of campervan is only one element of a camping holiday. Other expenses you might need to think about include:

  • Additional driver insurance. Although insurance is included with every booking you make through our camping partner, you might want to consider boosting your plan to cover additional drivers.
  • European cover. If you plan to take a motorhome to Europe, you will need additional insurance and breakdown cover). Toll roads are also more common on the continent than these islands.
  • Campsite costs. As with campervan hire, this will vary depending on the season.
  • Airport pick up. If you are flying to Europe or another global destination, you can often pay extra to have your motorhome delivered to the airport.
  • Child car seats. You may have to pay extra for these.
  • GPS unit. This is recommended for unfamiliar roads and may be offered as a chargeable extra.
  • Leisure equipment. From bike racks and fishing rods to kayaks, many motorhome owners hire out sports and leisure equipment.
  • Petrol/diesel. As well as paying for fuel while on the road, you will probably be required to return the vehicle full at the end of the holiday.
  • Car care. Drivers who are travelling to pick up their motorhome can sometimes leave their car with the seller for an additional fee (although some will offer this as a courtesy).
  • Food. If you don’t stick to a food budget, you can easily find yourself spending a lot on eating out. Although you will want to treat yourself occasionally (especially if you are visiting France, Spain or another country renowned for its delicious cuisine), it is always more economical to cook for yourself. If this is your intention, make sure you choose a motorhome with adequate cooking and food storage facilities.
  • Entertainment. Unless you are going to spend the whole trip on the road, you will want to allocate a budget for visiting tourist attractions, buying souvenirs and maybe enjoying a film or a play.
  • Pet valeting. If you are allowed to bring a pet with you, the owner may include a charge for additional valeting.
  • Early bird departure. Some motorhome owners will prepare your vehicle for an early getaway for a fee. This can be worth paying if you have a packed itinerary.
  • Bedding and linens. You would normally bring these with you but some thoughtful campervan owners will supply them for an additional cost.

How our motorhome hire partners make costing your trip easier

If you choose to book your next holiday via our website, you will find it easy to compare prices. You can start the process by clicking the search button on the main menu and then entering either your destination or your own location depending on whether you want to pick up a motorhome locally or when you arrive.

You can narrow down your options using the various filters. The daily rate for each motorhome is clearly visible and clicking on the summary will open up a detailed listings page for that vehicle. For more information on costs, the weekly and monthly rates (together with the owner’s cancellation policy) are included further down in a dedicated ‘rates’ section. There is also an ‘add-ons’ section detailing any optional extras you can add to your booking.

You will also find the motorhome’s amenities presented in a checklist-style format so you can see what is included in your price and, just as important, what isn’t. Your motorhome will almost certainly be equipped with a simple stove, sink and radio but other than these essentials there is a lot of variation between different vehicles.

For a comfortable and convenient drive, you will want to look out for air conditioning, heating and perhaps a backup camera. If optimising space is a priority, check whether the motorhome comes with an awning and extra storage. If you don’t fancy nipping outside when nature calls, make sure that a toilet and shower comes as part of the package. If you have the family in tow, you will almost certainly want to ensure there is at least a TV and maybe a DVD player and WiFi connection too.

Another section which campers should look through is the owners’ rules. This covers three areas: smoking, pets and festivals and includes additional information that you will need to follow to stay on the right side of the owner.

If you do have any outstanding questions, there is a button you can click to contact the seller with your queries.

When you have picked out the motorhome you want, you can enter your holiday dates directly in the box provided or highlight them on the availability calendar. The total price will be automatically calculated and you will have the option either to instantly book the vehicle or to request a booking.

If you prefer to book over the phone, there is a contact number beneath the booking button.

Your one stop shop for local and global motorhome hire

Another advantage with our peer-to-peer rental platform is you can come back time and time again whenever you get the motorhome hire bug. Unlike booking through traditional hire companies, you don’t have to rely on there being a local depot. The search engine in our booking platform spans the globe so you will be able to find and contact motorhome owners anywhere in the UK, Ireland, Europe or further afield. You can even arrange for a motorhome to be waiting for you at a New Zealand airport!

Wherever you decide to explore, we wish you a fun and enjoyable experience.

How Much Does it Cost to Hire a Motorhome?

Motorhome Hire Prices

A campervan or motorhome gives you the freedom to travel on your own terms and set your own schedules. How far you go will depend on the budget you set yourself for fuel.

You might be considering purchasing your own camper van or RV Rental (Recreational Vehicle) but this article explains why the cost of hiring a camper van through campervanhire.com is less that you might think and offers you a cost-effective, practical and truly flexible solution. Motorhome Hire Prices – How much does it cost? Click Here to Find Out >>

Cost of hiring a motor home versus ownership

Campervan HireThe most important point to consider when thinking about the cost of hiring a camper van is comparing it with owning your own vehicle. With ownership you have on-going maintenance and servicing expenses, annual insurance and any repairs, plus the increasing depreciation of it as an asset.

When you are purchasing your motorhome, you also have to consider the on-going practicality of your final choice if you need the flexibility of tailoring your vehicle to the number of people travelling with you on each trip. Equally, some locations may have limited access if you have a really large vehicle.

Campervan Hire Prices

At campervanhire.com, we have a huge range of camper vans and motorhomes, available to hire in locations around the world. From smaller camper vans to large motorhomes, you’ll have plenty of choice so you can tailor your mobile ‘home from home’ to your holiday and who is travelling with you each time. You could hire an iconic VW camper van for a long weekend break for just the two of you, or a large RV if you’re heading off with family or friends. The cost of hiring your campervan will depend on the size you want and the length of your holiday.

Camper Van Prices, RV & Motorhome Rental Costs

Remember that you only pay for it when you are actually using it, unlike with ownership when you are still paying for it during the time it is sitting parked on the road or in your driveway. The cost of hiring a camper van becomes even more cost-effective if you don’t have the space to park up your motorhome at your house and have to factor in the expensive of a suitable storage facility – let alone worrying about security whilst it’s there.

Set your own budget as part of the cost of hiring a motorhome

With campervanhire.com, you can hire a motorhome in Europe, the USA, Australia or New Zealand. So, for example, if you’re based in the UK, you could fly to the USA, pick up your camper van and head off to explore.

You set your own budget for fuel, food – and campsite fees. You can stock up at a supermarket or splurge on a slap up feast at a local restaurant. All this can be factored into the overall budget for your holiday and the cost of hiring your motorhome.

You could be travelling to see family living abroad and your camper van will give you the choice to sleep in your own ‘space’ if guest accommodation is limited or you need some peace and quiet, or want to head off to explore, from time to time.

Dog Friendly RV Motorhome Hire

Dog Friendly Motorhome Hire Prices

You might even want to take your four footed best friend along with you on holiday. Kennel fees can be high and then there’s the worry that your beloved pet will be all right whilst you are away. If your dog has a pet passport enabling you to holiday where pet travel agreements are in place or if you are simply travelling around your own country, we have ‘pet friendly’ options, which does away with kennel fees and thereby making the cost of hiring a motorhome even more budget-friendly.

Hiring a campervan or motorhome is the cost effective family holiday

RV Rental PricesHiring a family-sized recreational vehicle is the perfect solution to a family holiday or long weekend away. Again, you can choose the size and cost of hiring your campervan, motorhome or RV to fit your budget and the needs of your family. Many campsites often have special facilities for children but most kids also love being on an adventure and setting up in less organised surroundings where they can enjoy outdoor activities, including hiking or kayaking. Older children will enjoy being involved in planning the route and choosing what activities they’d like to do along the way.

How do RV Rental Prices Compare to a Standard Holiday?

RV RentalRent an RV for Your Next Vacation

There is no one definitive answer that would apply to all circumstances but providing you plan ahead and think economically it is likely that RV rental prices will come in at less than a standard package holiday – and even below that of a cheap tailor-made trip.

RV Rental Prices – Search Here >>

rv rentalsOf course, if you choose the busiest season and the biggest camper van, hire all of your kitchen equipment and linen and spend a week with your foot to the metal while staying at the most luxurious RV parks then your overall holiday costs will be high. However, RV rental prices themselves can be extremely affordable, giving you more spare cash to invest on other aspects of your trip (or to stash away in your wallet for a future holiday).

Some of the items you definitely won’t be needing to shell out on when taking an RV holiday include:

  • Hotel rooms (which can become expensive when it comes to large families or inefficient if you’re travelling alone)
  • Airport/station to hotel transfers
  • Airline/train tickets (and luggage costs)
  • Eating out
  • Taxis
  • Car hire (including booking fees, security deposits, taxes, etc.)

RV Rental Prices v RV Ownership

RV holidayAt this point you may be thinking: a campervan holiday seems so convenient and affordable I should buy one instead. Be warned; although RV ownership does have its benefits, it is a big commitment suitable only for die-hard campers. Good RVs are very expensive to buy and unlike a house purchase, where you end up with an asset, the forces of depreciation will erode the value of your RV very quickly.

Class A RV RentalBuying an RV does make it available all year round but that also means maintaining it all year round too which can be a real headache, particularly in the winter months when you’ll be facing an ongoing battle against the elements. RV ownership also takes away the element of flexibility when it comes to size. If you own a 7-berth RV but have the opportunity for a quick, romantic getaway or a weekend fishing trip you can’t downsize and save yourself fuel and those other costs that increase with vehicle size.

If you are bitten by the RV ownership bug, consider renting it out to other campers when you’re not using it. This is something that can be arranged through www.campervanhire.com

Recreational Vehicle Rental Through Campervanhire.Com

Recreation Vehicle RV TripRV rental prices obviously vary depending on the RV rental firm you use. However, campervanhire.com have taken that variability out of the equation with our price match guarantee. In addition, we don’t bump up our profits with hidden booking fees and even amendments are usually free of charge. Throughout the year we also offer special deals and promotions, including free months rental. To keep up to date on these, please visit either our home page or contact page and fill out the simple subscription form.

Beyond RV Rental Prices – Recreational Vehicles

Although cost is of course a major factor in any trip, there is far more going for RV rental than simply saving pennies. Seasoned campers point out that you get a higher quality holiday all round. Some of the many benefits enjoyed by RV renters include:

  • No more waiting in airport queues.
  • No last minute cancellations or delays.
  • Safety and security (providing you choose a reputable RV rental company who provide proof of servicing).
  • Quality family bonding time.
  • No wasted time in check-ins or check-outs.
  • Squeezing the maximum activity out of limited time off.
  • No restrictive itineraries.
  • Your own home comforts.
  • A guaranteed bed every night.
  • The relief of handing back the keys afterwards!

Are You Looking For The Best Small Campervan?

Best Small CampervanBest Small Campervan 2019

If you’re looking for ideas for a cost effective holiday, one where you can get out and about, exploring the countryside, towns, cities and local attractions at your own pace, then think about hiring a camper van through campervanhire.com, one of the world’s most experienced and trusted motorhome booking agents.

If you’re looking for total flexibility, with space for two or more but need to stick to a strict budget, then hiring a small camper van is a fantastic option – but what is the best one for your needs? This article highlights a few points to hep you decide.

Small Camper VanSo What is the Best Small Campervan?

The best small camper van is the one that helps you to manage your specific budget. It provides a ‘home from home’, alleviating the need to pay for hotel rooms at different hotels along your journey. Also, many small campers have inbuilt cooking facilities, allowing you to prepare meals yourself rather than go to expensive restaurants or cafés, which means you can spend more of your hard earned holiday money on doing the things that you all enjoy.

Smaller campervans are also more economical on fuel and so you can plan your trip around your budget. If you suddenly discover somewhere interesting that you’d like to explore, then you can change your itinerary. You are free to go wherever you like.

Self-drive small camper vans come in a range of models to cater for all budgets and types of holidaymakers and you’ll have plenty to choose from, wherever you end up going on your camper van holiday. If you want to get away from it all, then choose one without TVs or other technology but if you need all the mod cons, then we’ll find the right one for you.

Class B CampervanSmall Camper Vans

One of the most iconic smaller campers is, of course, the VW Camper. Hugely popular, they come in a choice of models, with renovated old styles sleeping up to 4, but newer models can sleep more.

They are also perfect for festivals and, as well as being warm and dry, provide a safe place to lock up your belongings. If you are after a bit of nostalgia, then the VW Camper is probably the best small camper for you.

The best small camper van is also one that doesn’t compromise on quality and hiring through campervanhire.com means that you’ll be getting the best option from a trusted source, whether that’s in the UK, mainland Europe, USA, Australia or New Zealand.

How to maximise your holiday in a small motorhome

Campervan HireRenting a small campervan or motorhome will provide you with one of the most economical ways to explore a country or region. The best small camper van will provide you with a base from where to enjoy any kind of holiday.

If you are keen on the great outdoors, then it’s so easy to park up and go hiking, kayaking, surfing or climbing – and it won’t matter if it rains because you’ve got somewhere to come back to in order to warm up and brew a cuppa. If you want to incorporate a city into your trip, the best small camper van is the one that allows you to park up in a regular size parking space, in a car park or on the street and head off to explore.

A small camper van gives you more flexibility in terms of campsites too. There are free camping areas and cheap, basic camp sites to be found but those with additional amenities and activities are generally costlier. However, the good news is that pitches tend to be cheaper for small campers.

Van LifeBest Small Camper for Kids

How much does it cost to hire a campervan?

A campervan or motorhome gives you the freedom to travel on your own terms and set your own schedules. How far you go will depend on the budget you set yourself for fuel. You might be considering purchasing your own camper van or RV Rental (Recreational Vehicle) but this article explains why the cost of hiring a camper van through campervanhire.com is less that you might think and offers you a cost-effective, practical and truly flexible solution.

Cost of hiring a campervan versus ownership

Campervan HireThe most important point to consider when thinking about the cost of hiring a camper van is comparing it with owning your own vehicle. With ownership you have on-going maintenance and servicing expenses, annual insurance and any repairs, plus the increasing depreciation of it as an asset.

When you are purchasing your motorhome, you also have to consider the on-going practicality of your final choice if you need the flexibility of tailoring your vehicle to the number of people travelling with you on each trip. Equally, some locations may have limited access if you have a really large vehicle.

At campervanhire.com, we have a huge range of campervans and motorhomes, available to hire in locations around the world.

Set your own budget as part of the cost of hiring a campervan

With campervanhire.com, you can hire a campervan or motorhome in Europe, the USA, Australia or New Zealand.

You might even want to take your four footed best friend along with you on holiday. Kennel fees can be high and then there’s the worry that your beloved pet will be all right whilst you are away. If your dog has a pet passport enabling you to holiday where pet travel agreements are in place or if you are simply travelling around your own country, we have ‘pet friendly’ options, which does away with kennel fees and thereby making the cost of hiring a campervan even more budget-friendly.
